Kaarin is an amazing massage therapist and was especially helpful during my pregnancy. She makes you feel so comfortable and I feel so relieved after every session. Thanks so much Kaarin!

I had a pretty bad injury over a year ago that required surgery and months of PT to relearn how to walk.

During that process I started looking for places around Federal Way that did massages and found it really hard to find any places that seemed to work for my injury. I basically had given up until I saw Kaarin and her sign for Stone Lake Massage at the Farmers market. When I went to the website and saw the experience Kaarin had generally and then specifically for injuries I knew I had to give the place a shot.

I was able to find an appointment pretty quickly that worked for my schedule. When I came in for my appointment, I ran into Kaarin in the lobby area and she was extremely welcoming and really put me at ease. When we went into the room I was able to talk about my injury and my goals for recovery before we started the massage. My ankle was feeling a lot better after we finished and I will be coming back to continue working on my ankle recovery. Would definitely recommend!

Had a great experience there! A very clean and comfortable place. Kaarin is extremely knowledgeable about the anatomy of your body. She uses her knowledge and experience to properly assess, locate and work to fix any problems. I left feeling great and a few days later my lingering problems were relieved, I would definitely recommend her!

Really great, relaxing massage. The headache I had for 2 days was fixed within 10 minutes of the massage!

FAQ

Do you do REALLY deep tissue massage?

In short, I do what your body needs.

I am capable of applying very deep pressure, but I am also sensitive to the needs of my clients and will not go deeper than necessary to relieve the cause of your greater discomfort. Sometimes an issue can be resolved with less pressure being applied expertly to the right place, other times massage therapy calls for a little discomfort to resolve deeper issues. If my client is too sensitive to pressure in the moment, we can address those deeper issues through additional sessions.

Do I need to wear a mask?

It’s up to you.

Masks and proof of vaccination are no longer required to receive a massage in my office. If you are more comfortable masked, please let me know, and I will happily wear a mask along with you for your comfort. I also use HEPA filters in my office to filter and circulate the air and reduce the risks of disease transmittal, and I am personally up to date on my vaccinations. I will also let you know if I have had any recent symptoms. This would also mean that I cancel all appointments for that day. This would be a good opportunity to remind you of my appointment policy

Do I have to remove all of my clothes for a massage?

It’s up to you.

Your comfort is an important part of the massage. You can leave all your clothes on, take them all off, or anything in-between. I use a system of blankets to maintain your privacy during the massage process, and won’t see anything anyway. This would be a good opportunity to remind you of my appointment policy

Do you accept insurance?

I do not accept or bill medical insurance, however, your insurance company may still cover all or part of your massage therapy. Many insurance companies cover massage therapy by reimbursing customers who send in a reimbursement form. To help you with this, I offer reimbursement forms for you to send to your insurance company.
